In 1957 the founder bought the land where now the hotel is built. At that time Guadalajara ended on the highway to Morelia, now Av. Lopez Mateos, all surrounded by land, two years later after analyzing different projects, the decision was an apartment building, nevertheless it was suspended for a year and it end up in 1976.

First worked as departments, then as “Suites Diana” named selected honoring his wife, “DOÑA ANITA”. Finally in 1987 it became the “Hotel Plaza Diana”. Its last remodeling was in 1997, after the founder, passed away. In 2003 the business center, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, gym, tobacco shop, travel agency were built, and the hotel was converted from a four star hotel to a “BUSINESS CLASS” category, and up to date we continue remodeling all the areas.
